Another thing that you are going to want to do is make sure to disinfect your burn. You want to do this so that you are able to avoid the burn from turning into an infection. Burned skin is very susceptible and prone to infections. Therefore, you should try to use some kind of antibacterial ointment such as Neosporin. This will ultimately help to keep the burned area as clean as possible and it will also keep it as moisturized as possible as well. Not to mention, the Neosporin should also help to ease the pain associated with the burn in the first place.

3. Soothe and moisturize.

Another thing that you are going to want to do when you suffer from a burn is to be sure to keep your burn as moisturized as possible. This is important because burned skin is going to be very susceptible to itching. Therefore, it is important that you do not touch your burned skin and that you try your best to soothe and moisturize it with proper lotion and/or oils.

One of the best ways to moisturize burned skin is by using Aloe Vera. Aloe is going to really help with your burned skin because it can effectively cool down your skin and it can also provide the ability to reduce inflammation in your skin. 4. Scar Treatment.

Another thing that you are going to want to do is make sure that you effectively treat the potential scar or actual scar. When the burned skin has closed and it has begun to turn into a dark and purple/reddish color, you are going to want to focus your treatment on reducing and minimizing the scar. The best way that you are going to be able to do this is by using vitamin C or a scar treatment cream. These will be effective because they will help to lighten the scar.

5. Avoid The Burn.

While all of these are good methods to help to deal with the burn, the best way to really deal with it successfully is to completely avoid getting burned in the first place. You are going to be able to do this by paying attention and being careful during the ironing process
